The Hair Design course is 1700 hours
(12 months) in length, and the curriculum focuses training on the following principles:

Hair Design: We utilize the Pivot Point Scientific and Artistic Approach to Hair Design Curriculum. This approach offers the State of the Art methods in Long Hair Design, including braiding and updo's, Air Forming with blow dryer and curling irons, and Wet Hairstyling with rollers, pincurls, and fingerwaves. The four basic forms of hair sculpture are taught, to be used alone or in combination in your designs as a stylist. In addition, complete instruction on hair coloring and permanent waving round out the Hair Design course, giving you the necessary tools and knowledge to design the perfect look for every client.
The Barbering course is 1350 hours
(9 months) in length, and the curriculum focuses training on the following principles:

    Nail Technology: Nail Technology is a very creative, rewarding and growing career area. From a simple polish to dazzling designs, nail fashions are ever changing. Our skills training emphasizes accuracy, speed, and creativity in manicuring, pedicuring, and various forms of nail extensions.
    The Facial Technology course is 500 hours
    (3 months) in length, and the curriculum focuses training on the following principles:

    Facial Technology: The skin care industry has boomed in recent years. Today's society focuses heavily on looking healthy and youthful. Skin care and cosmetic products are used in providing services and are retailed to clients for ongoing maintenance at home. The therapeutic relaxing environment plays a key role in servicing today's client. The facial course prepares students to provide facials, glycolic treatments, hair removal, and makeup services.
    The Cosmetology course is 2300 hours
    (15 months) in length, and the curriculum focuses training on the following principles:
    Cosmetology: The full-license, cosmetology course of study contains units of instruction in Hair Design, Facial Technology, Nail Technology, Safety & Sanitation, and Career Development. Opportunities in the cosmetology industry that you can enter include salon owner, manager, stylist, colorist, nail technician, facial technician (esthetician), product representative, and/or educator.
    The Hair Design / Nail Technology course is 2050 hours
    (14 months) in length, and combines training of Hair Design & Nail Technology
    Hair Design & Nail Technology: Enjoy the two exciting worlds of hair and nails and the endless opportunities within these two industries. Complete the look you want to achieve for your client, "from head to toe."
    The Nail Technology / Facial Technology course is 850 hours
    (6 months) in length, and combines training of Nail Technology & Facial Technology
    Nail Technology / Facial Technology: There are a vast array of opportunities in the Nail/Facial industry that you can enter such as salon owner, nail technician, facial technician (esthetician), product representative and / or educator.
    The Instructor's Training course is 1000 hours
    (7 months) in length, and teaches the student necessary traits of a Cosmetology Instructor.
    Instructor's Training Course: The primary purpose of the Instructor’s Training course is to train teachers in all aspects of the educational process, as it relates to the Cosmetology Instructor. This course will prepare the student for immediate employment opportunities. The course is particularly directed toward developing in the student the essential qualities found in the best educators. These will include lecture, demonstration, lesson planning, supervision and participation in classes and clinic activities, testing and evaluation, and perhaps the most essential element, the student-teacher relationship. Upon successful completion of this course of study the graduate will be eligible to apply for an Oregon Instructor’s license.
    The Safety & Sanitation class is 150 hours in length, and the curriculum focuses training on the following principles:

    Safety & Sanitation: This course teaches the necessary safety and sanitation protocols required to maintain a license in the State of Oregon, as well as other pertinent health information relating to salon safety.

      Career Development: Career Development begins on the first day of class with Professional Image and People Skills. Since success is the school's primary objective, people skills are greatly emphasized. Course work is designed to enhance Client Development, Bookkeeping, and Marketing in order to prepare students for a successful transition into their career. Students have the potential to be Managers and even own their own business. The 'Partners in Education' exposes the student to the various career environments and opportunities.
